Professor (Dr) M.Y.Zargar took over as Dean, Faculty of Forestry on March 2,2013 vide University order No: 158(Est.) of 2013, dated : 01-03-2013.
Professor Zargar is a renowned Scientist and capable administrator and has earlier served as Dean, Faculty of Agriculture and Associate Director ,Regional Research Station, Wadura Sopore.
He has Graduated and Post Graduated from Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology ,Pantnagar, He has done his Doctorate from Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana and Post-doctorate from National Centre on Biotechnology, IARI New Delhi.
Professor Zargar has more than thirty years service at his back and guided around 15 students for M Sc and Ph D programmes ,has around 150 publications in journals of national and international repute. He has authored and edited two books.
