The Vice-Chancellor University of Kashmir Prof talat Ahmad flagged off the 1st batch of 50 candidates selected by Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS) from J&K state.

During the current year TCS has selected more than 200 candidates from the state of Jammu and Kashmir.  The company intends to train the selected candidates in batches of 50 at TCS Kolkata for a period of 3 months and on the basis of their performance the candidates would accordingly be placed in the company.

TCS is a leader in the global marketplace and among the top 10 technology firms in the world. It is India’s first and Asia’s largest consulting and service organisations. TCS is engaged in providing information technology (IT) services, business solutions and outsourcing. The Company’s services portfolio consists of application development and maintenance, business intelligence, enterprise solutions, engineering and industrial services, IT infrastructure services, business process outsourcing, consulting and asset leveraged solutions.

While flagging the 1st batch of selected candidates from different parts of the State Prof Talat Ahmad, Vice Chancellor, University of Kashmir, congratulated the candidates for being selected. He further added that the selected candidates have a huge responsibility of being the brand Ambassadors of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. He advised them that they should strive hard and work with dedication so as to generate the interest of corporate India in the talent pool of the State of Jammu and Kashmir. He also said that the University of Kashmir will work hard to provide proper employment and training opportunities to our capable and competent youth.

  1. This is good. These people will travel to different parts of India and do challenging corporate work. Hope that will help them integerate with India and also see a different life, outsie Kashmir. i hope that this will help us resolve the Kashmir issue.
