Property Worth Rs 1 Crore Attached in Drug Trafficking Case in South Kashmir

   

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir police in South Kashmir’s Anantnag attached property belonging to a known drug peddler under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

“A double-storey residential house built on 5 marlas of land and owned by Peer Iftikar Hussain, a resident of Hutmurah, Mattan, has been attached under Section 68-F(1) of the NDPS Act. The action, carried out by Police Station Mattan in connection with FIR No. 103/2024, involves property valued at approximately Rs 1 crore,” a police spokesperson said in a statement.

This measure is part of ongoing efforts by the JK Police to combat the drug trade and dismantle the networks that support such illegal activities, police said.
