Students of Kashmir University Friday organized a solidarity rally with the Muslims of Egypt. The students had named it as “DAY OF RAGE”.

 Scores of students assembled after Friday prayers and  marched through the campus shouting Pro-Ikhwan (Muslim Brotherhood) slogans, Pro-Islam, Anti-American-Israe and antil-India slogans.

 The students also shouted slogans against Bashar Al Assad and Egyptian Army Chief Abdul Fattah Sisi. The students condemned the July 3 military coup by Egyptian Army and described it as “West’s proxy war” on Islam.

The students said that the Muslim Brotherhood has a history of unparalleled sacrifices in the struggle for Islamization of the Arab world and the current sacrifices are in the same direction.

Play cards reading “EGYPT BLEEDS, KASHMIR FEELS; ONE UMMAH”  like slogans  were displayed by the protesters. Another one read, “DR MORSI, WE ARE WITH YOU.” FROM AMERICA TO ASSAD TO SISI; THEY ALL ARE OF THE SAME ILK.”

The protesting students concluded the rally with funeral prayers in absentia for those killed in massacres of Egypt and Ghouta chemical attack in Syria by Assad regime.

Meanwhile, funeral prayers in absentia were held in the mosques for those killed in Egypt. The call for it was given by Hurriyat (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani.
