Srinagar

Following the attacks on Kashmiris outside the state, mostly in Dehradun and Jammu, clashes broke out between the government forces and people in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

An eyewitness said that amid a spontaneous shutdown in the main town the protestors clashed with the government forces. Protestors amid the sloganeering the protestors pelted government force with stones, and forces retaliated by firing tear gas smoke shells to disperse the protestors at Acchabal Adda and Lal Chowk areas of the district.

A day after the CRPF troopers were killed in a bomb attack, widespread clashes were reported from Jammu areas asking Kashmiris to leave the Jammu region.

In Gujjar Nagar and Janipur areas of the Jammu, scores of the vehicles were torched and properties belonging to Kahsmiris were damaged. Despite the curfew and a heavy deployment of forces the widespread agitation in the area is going on.
