Srinagar
Scores of people on Friday staged a protest march in Maisuma area of Srinagar against raids being conducted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
Reports said that scores of people including JKLF activists took out a protest from Maisuma after Friday prayers.
Pertinently, Joint Resistance Leaders including Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik had called for protests today against NIA raids and arrests.
The protesters were carrying banners and placards with messages like ‘Release all political prisoners’, ‘Stop NIA terrorism in Kashmir’ and ‘Stop killing of Muslims in Burma’.
