Worst kind of traffic jam was witnessed along Batamalo and Tengpora Bypass road due to road blockade by locals on Monday.
The protesters were demanding repair of the drainage system in the area.
A huge number of vehicles remained stranded for about three hours along the Batamalo to Tengpora Bypass and was only restored when Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar reached the spot and talked to the protesters.
The local residents had taken to streets to protest against the “drainage failure” in the area, which has caused huge water-logging.
