Notorious drug peddler Hashim Majeed Bhat son of Abdul Majeed resident of Mohalla Mir Sahib, Baramulla has been booked by Police under PSA and lodged in Udhampur jail Monday, police said this evening.
“The subject is a notorious cannabis (Charas) supplier and involved in many cases of Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPSA),” a police statement said
“He is involved in case FIR number 10/2015 of Police Station Baramulla under section 8/20 NDPS and accused in kidnapping case FIR number 21/2013 of Police Station Baramulla under section 363, 109 RPC. He is also involved in various stone pelting cases.”
“It is pertinent to mention that last week one drug peddler Fayaz Ahmad Dar alias Adha-Duz resident of Ganaie Hamam, Baramulla was booked by Baramulla police in Public Safety Act under the provisions of NDPSA,” the statement added.
