For the second consecutive day on Saturday, South Kashmir’s Pulwama, Kakapora are observing a complete shutdown to mourn the killing of a local militant and to condemn the police action on mourners, locals said.
All shops and business establishments in twin areas have been closed, while traffic is off from the roads.
Police Thursday killed a local militant Talib Ahmad Shah of Kakapora’s Astan Mohalla Kakapora in a brief fire exchange. To mourn the killing of a local youth-turned-militant, Pulwama and Kakapora shut yesterday.
At some places, clashes broke out between youth and police, following which many mourners were left injured.
