Muhammad Ali Jinnah
Pakistan founder: Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah (RA)

Hurriyat Conference (g) Secretary General and Chairperson of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah on Wednesday paid glowing tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah (RA) on his 139th birth anniversary saying his name will always be remembered and the “Muslim Ummah” will never forget its “well-wisher leader”.

Shah, who remains under house arrest, said: “Under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam (RA), the Muslims of sub-continent demanded a separate nation and pledged to secure the religious, cultural and civilizational identity of Muslims. He fulfilled the dream of Allama Iqbal (RA) of a separate nation for Muslims and made it clear that minorities particularly Muslims are not safe and secure in the united India.”

“As India’s freedom struggle gained momentum, thousands of Muslims were massacres as result of Partition of Bengal and Assam and the way Quaid-e-Azam (RA) visualised the situation and exhibited utmost courage and farsightedness is exemplary. Pakistanis are blessed to have a leader like Quaid-e-Azam (RA) and it is the duty upon the people of this nation to uphold the values and principles laid down by the great leader,” Shah said in a DFP statement.

Shah said, “the character of Quaid-e-Azam (RA) with regard to freedom struggle is an example for us and if we will exhibit same courage, valour and steadfastness and fight with same zeal and vigour, then the dawn of freedom will be near.”
