SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir House Committee on Subordinate Legislation has sought an explanation from the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCHAP) over the delay in operationalising the mandatory registration process for Allied and Healthcare graduates, following concerns raised by MLA Budgam, Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi.

Mehdi said he raised the issue before the committee and sought clarification on the legal and administrative basis for the continued delay in implementing the mandatory registration system.
According to the MLA, the prolonged non-operational status of the registration mechanism has deprived thousands of qualified Allied and Healthcare graduates of employment opportunities, despite meeting the required qualifications.
Following the discussion, the committee directed the concerned authority, NCHAP, to submit a detailed response at its next meeting, scheduled for the end of this month.
Mehdi said he would continue to pursue the matter until the registration process is made operational, enabling eligible graduates to access employment opportunities without further delay.
