Remembering their colleagues who lost their lives in Mohara, Uri encounter on Friday, a Duaieya Majlis and Quran Khawani was held Sunday afternoon in Jamia Masjid Police lines Srinagar
According to police spokesman, “these special prayers were held to pay homage to the martyrs by officers and Jawans for the departed souls of the martyrs and to show solidarity with the bereaved families.”
Spokesman further adds that “the aim of the congressional payers was to convey that J&K police as a family stands with the martyrs and their families and they will be taken care of.”
It is pertinent to mention that ASI Mohammad Akbar, HC Abdul Hamid and Constable Sanjay Koul laid down their lives in an encounter with militants in Mohara Uri on Friday, December 5.
