It was a bit surprising when former Kashmir interlocutor Radha Kumar joined the counter concert, ‘Haqeet-e-Kashmir‘ organised by Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society.
Radha while talking to Kashmir Life said that there is no ulterior motive behind her visit.
“I just wanted to hear voices of Kashmir,” she said.
Radha sees a hope in the Zubin’s concert. She while referring to Mirwaiz Umar’s suggestion that the money spent on concert should have been invested for the welfare of people.
“This concert will bring lot of attention to Kashmir. As Mirwaiz sahab said, this will help in attracting investors to this place,” she said.
She made it clear that her visit is in her personal capacity. “I am here as an ordinary citizen of India,”
Radha’s impression about ‘Haqeeqat-e-Kashmir’ was positive. “this is very good to me.”
She avoided question citing reason of attending Mehta’s concert
