Flight AI-1717, operating from Delhi to Lucknow, discontinued its initial landing approach after coming close to the runway. The aircraft then climbed to a safe altitude and made a second approach before landing safely at the airport, News18 reported.

The flight departed from Delhi at around 2.20 pm and was scheduled to arrive in Lucknow at approximately 3.30 pm.

A go-around is a standard aviation procedure in which pilots discontinue an approach and regain altitude before making another landing attempt. It may be carried out for various reasons, including weather conditions, runway conditions, air traffic or an approach deemed unsuitable for landing.
