Railway Police Rescues Minor Girl in South Kashmir

   

SRINAGAR: The Government Railway Police Station (GRPS) Anantnag on Monday rescued a minor girl and reunited her with her family.

In a statement, officials said that upon receiving information, the GRPS Anantnag team, in coordination with the Railway Protection Force (RPF), promptly intercepted the girl from Krankshovan, Sopore.

The minor was traveling alone from Banihal to Sopore after being inadvertently separated from her father, who was unable to board the train at Banihal.

“The vigilant personnel of RPF and GRPS Anantnag safely de-boarded the child at Anantnag Railway Station. After establishing contact with her father, she was handed over to him following the necessary legal formalities,” the statement read. (KNO)
