Railway to run special trains in Kashmir during summer

Expecting huge inflow of the tourists to the valley in coming summer months, Northern Railway has decided to run special trains to the valley.

In order to ease the rush of passengers during summer, Northern Railway will be running special trains, numbered 04614/ 04611 & 04612/04613 between Baramulla – Budgam – Banihal as per the following schedule:-

04614/04611 Baramulla-Banihal special train will run for six days except Sundays.

The 04614 Baramulla –Banihal special train will depart from Baramulla  at  12:00  noon from June 2,2014 to june30, 2014 (25 Trips) to reach Banihal  at 03:05 pm on same day. While returning back, the Baramulla-Banihal special train will depart from Banihal at 08:10 am to reach Baramulla at 11.45 am on same day.

Having six bogeys, the 04614/14611 Baramula –Banihal special train will make halts at Sopore, Hamre, Pattan ,Mazhom, Budgam, Srinagar, Pampore, Kakapora, Awantipura, Panjgam, Bijbehara, Anantnag, Sadura, Qazigund & Hillar Shahbad enroute in both the directions.

04612/ 04613 Budgam-Banihal special train will also run for six days in a week except on Sundays.

The 04612 Budgam – Banihal special train will depart from Budgam at  06:05 am from June 2, 2014 to June 30, 2014 (25 Trips) to reach Banihal  at 07:55 a.m.on the same day. While traversing back,04613  Banihal- Budgam special train will depart from Banihal at 03:20 pm to reach Budgam at 05:15 pm on the same day.

Also having six bogeys, the special train 04612/14613 Budgam – Banihal special train will make halts at Srinagar, Pampore Kakapora, Awantipura, Panjgam, Bijbiara, Islamabad, Sadura, Qazigund & Hillar Shahbad in its back and forth journeys.
