SRINAGAR: Fresh snowfall in Kashmir’s higher reaches and rain across the plains brought colder conditions to the Valley on Tuesday, with the Meteorological Department forecasting rain and snow at many places until October 15.
Officials said light to moderate snowfall was recorded in higher-altitude areas, including Gulmarg, Sonamarg and the Zojila axis. Snowfall was also reported at Zero Point in Sonamarg, Razdan Pass in Bandipora district and the Afarwat heights overlooking Gulmarg. Gurez Valley received fresh snow as well.
