SRINAGAR: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has issued a nowcast alert for several areas of the Jammu Division, warning of rain, thundershowers, and gusty winds over the next few hours.

Many places in Udhampur and Reasi districts, including Katra, Mata Vaishno Devi shrine area, Patnitop, Channani, Ramnagar and adjoining regions are likely to experience spells of rain and thunderstorms accompanied by thunder, lightning, and strong winds over the next three hours.
The weather department further stated that a few areas in Udhampur, Ramnagar, Channani and along parts of the National Highway in the Udhampur-Reasi axis may receive intense rainfall, gusty winds, and hailstorms within the next one to two hours. There is also a possibility of landslides occurring at some vulnerable locations.
