SRINAGAR: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday assigned IAS officer Ram Niwas Sharma additional charge of the Higher Education Department.
An official order issued by the General Administration Department stated that Ram Niwas Sharma, IAS (AGMUT: 2010) and currently serving as Secretary to the Government in the School Education Department, will also hold the post of Administrative Secretary, Higher Education Department.
The order noted that the additional responsibility has been assigned in the interest of administration and will remain in effect until further notice. The directive was issued on December 31, 2025.
