SRINAGAR: In Chenab Valley, the Ramban district gave National Conference a better mandate but did not annoy others including the BJP.
Though the results for two berths are yet to be formally announced, the overall tally suggests that the National Conference won six berths. As BJP won three seats, two went to Congress and the balance three to independents.
In the neighbouring Reasi district, BJP is likely to have seven seats followed by NC with three seats, Congress one and one has gone to an independent. Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party has two berths.
