Incumbent MLA Langate Er Rasheed Monday disrupted CM Mehbooba Mufti at least on three occasions during her concluding speech over a debate on the recent uprising in Kashmir, a statement issued by Rasheed here read.
The statement said that CM Mebooba Mufti tried to justify the killings by saying that people had attacked camps with stones and axes.
“Rasheed confronted her accusing that she was acting like spokesperson of Army, police and other security agencies and not like a CM.”
Rasheed lashed out at Mehbooba Mufti for issuing NOC to security forces and countered Mehbooba Mufti amid heated arguments when she said that it were few miscreants who kept Kashmir hostage for six months.
“Rasheed reacted saying that how can lacs be miscreants and asked Mehbooba to confess that those taking to streets from Karnah to Kishtawar and Rajouri to Drass were not miscreants but seeking right to self-determination,” the statement said.
He asked all members to restrain from shouting and making it a battle between the main stream political parties.
“He condemned Mehbooba for passing remarks that youth on streets were forcing pregnant ladies to prove that they are pregnant and sought her apology and accused Mehbooba of insulting not only Kashmiris but the women folk,” the statement quoting Rasheed said.
Rasheed confronted Mehbooba when she said that before becoming CM she had taken out many innocent youth from Army camps who were subjected to forced labour, humiliation and torture by Army and said that her revelations are confession of Army atrocities and if she has some respect towards rights of people and her duties, she must order a probe against the army for subjecting lacs to forced, unpaid labour.
Rasheed also confronted BJP Leader Satpal Sharma for raising slogans against Pakistan and said that only way to prevent mothers from receiving coffins of their beloved ones is to give people of state Right to self-determination.
