The chairperson Legislative Council Thursday disallowed a motion to discuss thrashing of lower house member and MLA Langate, Er Rashid.
Rashid was thrashed by BJP men in lower house minutes before house was set to resume business.
“Assembly has its own system to tackle the issue,” Haji Anayat Ali earlier told the house.
Aggrieved, the NC MLCs staged walk out from the upper house.
