The leader of opposition, Omar Abdullah strongly condemned the attack on MLA Er Rashid and termed it “gunda gardi”.
Omar said the manner BJP MLAs pounced on Rashid was aimed to kill him. “If we hadn’t rescued Rashid, you (people) would have killed him (Rashid).”
While lashing the treasury bench, Omar said our religion doesn’t permit liquor and pork, “but that doesn’t give me a license to stop members of this house who take liquor or pork.”
Omar alleged that BJP kills the people in broad day light.
“It was done in same way as was done in Dadri,” Omar said addressing the BJP legislators.
Pertinently, a lynch mob killed a Muslim over suspicion of beef eating in UP, just 60 KMs away from New Delhi.
