The Governor of Reserve Bank of India, Dr D Subbarao is going to chair a meeting of central board of directors of RBI in Srinagar on May 9, 2013. The meeting is going to be held in Kashmir after a gap of eight years, last time RBI held a meeting in Srinagar in May 2005.
The meeting is going to be held in Hotel Lalit Grand Palace, Srinagar, where Dr Subbarao will be meeting press as well.
This evening, from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm, the RBI Governor will be interacting with some selected business management students of University of Kashmir in the corporate office of Jammu and Kashmir Bank. The transport facility for the students would be provided by University, no private vehicle is allowed.
“The meet is scheduled in the evening keeping in view the security of the RBI Governor,” said a university official. “The Governor would be enlightening students about ‘RBI making a difference in everyday life’”, he added.
