Dr D Subbarao, Governor, Reserve Bank of India, met NN Vohra, Governor Jammu and Kashmir, at Raj Bhavan here today.
During their meeting, the Governor discussed with Dr Subbarao various important issues relating to the rapid socio-economic development of the State, functioning of the banking sector in J&K and ways to enhance financial inclusion, particularly in the rural areas.
Issues relating to the various banks advancing financial support on viable terms to the entrepreneurs, unemployed youth, artisans, craftsmen and others to set up their own income generating ventures were also discussed.
