Amid tight security for the re-poll at 38 polling stations of Budgam district the view outside the booths is desolate as till 9 am 0.44% voting was recorded.

As per the officials, 153 votes have been cast out of the total 35169 registered voters.

As per reports coming people in the most of these poll-bound areas have not come out of their houses.

Reports said that announcements were made at some place on loudspeakers, urging people to ensure poll boycott.

Pertinently, more than 50 additional companies of paramilitary and military have been deployed in the Budgam district to ensure that violence like last time can be averted.

Except for the poll-bound areas section-144 has been imposed.
