Former political advisor to the state Chief Minister and NC leader Mubarak Gul today dismissed reports suggesting that he was unwilling to take over as the Speaker of the J&K Legislative Assembly.

“I am a dedicated soldier of the party and I am ready to shoulder any responsibility the party or the Chief Minister assigns me”, Gul told a local news agency, KNS over phone.

Gul also rubbished the reports that he was not happy over the recent reshuffle of the state cabinet after which he was stripped of the role as Advisor to the CM. “I have absolutely no issues with the reshuffle of the state cabinet. Chief Minister has every right to take decisions and it is my duty as a party worker to uphold those decisions”, Gul said adding “All party workers and leaders have no problems as far as the cabinet reshuffle is concerned. All party workers are also satisfied”.

He said strengthening of the party was his top priority in wake of the upcoming assembly elections in the state.
