Real Kashmir FC came back once again from behind to steal a point against the tournament favourites TRAU FC of Manipur at FSV arena in Bengaluru.

After a pulsating 2-2 draw RKFC sits on top of the points table and now face a summit clash against Hindustan FC on Wednesday. HFC also have 4 points but RKFC is ahead because of goal difference.

Ritwik Das scored both the goals for RKFC. If RKFC wins or draws on Wednesday it will become the first club from Kashmir to qualify for I league.

Earlier RKFC defeated Ozone FC of Bengaluru.

On Sunday, in the first half, RKFC dominated and attacked the opposite goal post with some high pressing.

Attackers Ifham Tariq and Kouassi Yao played brilliant football on the front with Ifham being the threat on the left wing while delivering crucial passes into the box while Yao was strong and brilliant in the air.

Danish Farooq was a delight to be seen in the midfield, always searching for the ball and passing effectively.

On Shahnawaz’s free kick, Ritwik played a brilliant dribble and pass to Danish who shot towards goal which hit the post.

Ritwik was the star performer of the game with wonderful dribbles and footwork.

He scored the header in the 38th minute off a free kick in the first half and later in the game troubled the opposite team’s defence with ball possession and effective runs on the left wing.

TRAU FC equalized through Princewell Emeka in the 62nd minute and took the lead in the 88th minute through Wahengbam Luwang.

TRAU FC played brilliantly with speed and passing in the second half but Real Kashmir held their nerves and equalized in the extra time through a free kick taken by Farhan which was headed by TRAU FC’s defender into his own goal.
