SRINAGAR: CPI(M) leader Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami has criticised the government’s decision to reduce import duty on Washington apples.
Taking to Twitter, the CPI(M) said, “The government’s decision to slash 20 percent import duty on Washington apples is bound to impact the local growers across the apple-producing states. The decision is in contrast to the popular demand of hiking the duty on such imports. The decision should be rolled back forthwith, ”he tweeted.
