SRINAGAR: Stunting has always been dangerous in Kashmir. It is as true with real life as it is with reel life. It proved itself on Saturday when two major Tamil actors – Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Deverakonda – were injured while shooting a stunt scene in Pahalgam.
“Samantha and Vijay were performing a stunt sequence in the Pahalgam area of Kashmir during which they sustained injuries. The scene was very tough. Both the actors had to run a vehicle over the rope tied on both sides of the Lidder river, but unfortunately, the vehicle fell down into the deep water and both injured their backs,” newspaper Hindustan Times quoted sources in the film crew saying. The two actors in the film’s lead role were given first aid. However, both the actors felt unwell on Sunday while shooting in the Dal Lake. They were quickly shifted to the hostel. “Physiotherapists were called in and therapy is going on.”
The South India crew have concluded their Kashmir schedule for their upcoming film, Kushi under tight security. Slated to be released on December 23, the film will be in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
A romantic love story, the flick by Shiva Nirvana stars Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the lead pair. Hashem Abdul Wahab is the film’s music director. “Amazing first schedule in Kashmir. Thank you Vijay Deverakonda, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Vennela Kishore, Saranya Pradeep, and whole Kushi team,” Shiva Nirvana tweeted before they took off from Srinagar.
The crew is flying to Hyderabad, Vizag, and Alleppey for shooting the remaining sequences.
During their Kashmir schedule during which they were at Sonmarg, Pahalgam, Srinagar and other places, the south India sensation was bowled over by Kashmir. She could not resist taking to Instagram with specific captures during her schedule.
“Kashmir (white heart). I will always have this piece of my heart that smiles whenever I think about you,” she captioned the aesthetic photo collection showing a picturesque cottage nestled in the hills, the mountains, and a view of the blue sky from a kitchen window.
Another picture showed a herd of sheep, while one showed locals making sheermal bread. Local children smiled and posed for one of the pictures. Another showed some other children, one of whom held a handkerchief that read ‘you love me.’ There was also a stunning picture of the houseboats on a lake with sunset in the background of sunset.
Producers released the film’s motion poster that showed Samantha and Vijay sitting together with their clothes tied together in gathbandan. The poster read, “The most complicated knot ever.”
