Under the garb of National Urban Livelihood Mission (NULM), Indian think-tank “with help of PDP-BJP government” is trying to “convert” the Muslim majority community of Jammu and Kashmir into a minority community, All Parties Hurriyat Conference (g) said on Monday.
The Hurriyat amalgam warned authorities of serious consequences if the pan was not shelved. “It is bound to have serious resistance.”
Hurriyat Conference (g) Executive Council held an emergency meeting at Hyderpora Head office under the supervision of General Secretary (II) Ghulam Nabi Sumji, in which all the heads of constituent participated in it, a Hurriyat Conference (g) statement said this evening.
During the meeting, the statement said, “Hurriyat Conference (g) taking serious note of this issue said that this was done with no other reason but to change the Muslim-majority status of the state.”
Terming it a well-thought-out plan of Indian think-tank with the help of state government, Hurriyat Conference (g) alleged, “it is a deep rooted ploy to convert majority into minority.”
In a statement issued to KNS, Hurriyat Conference (g) said, “the real motive behind such things as in the recent past, efforts was made to settle Kashmiri Pandits in satellite colonies or rehabilitate retired army personnel and some other day efforts were made to settle West Pakistan refugees, these all are evil designs and in Kashmir valley there is nothing like issue of homelessness.”
Moreover, Hurriyat Conference (g) strongly condemned Parimpora “police station action” in which notices has been delivered to around 80 students majority of them are under the age of 18 years and asked them to make their presence at police stations regularly.
Hurriyat Conference (g) also demanded of removal of CRPF camp at HMT as “it proved life threatening for common masses and reiterated their demand to book Dy commanding officer who belongs to the same CRPF camp for murdering Gowhar Ahmed”.
