Remove Encroachments in Srinagar City: Div Com

SRINAGAR
In order to ensure smooth plying of traffic in Srinagar city, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Rohit Kansal today convened a divisional level meeting here, an official statement said on Tuesday.
Divisional Commissioner asked agencies concerned to demolish illegal encroachments in Srinagar city besides directed SMC to constitute special checking squad to prevent illegal encroachments.
Kansal directed Chief Engineer Irrigation and Flood Control Kashmir to speed up the work of removing illegal constructions/encroachments along the river banks, the statement said.
He also directed Traffic Police authorities to ensure smooth traffic flow on city roads and ensure that people don’t suffer during travel in the city.
Div Com enjoined upon all the concerned to work in tandem so that best results are achieved on ground.
The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer, Irrigation & Flood Control, Commissioner, SMC, SSP Srinagar, SSP Traffic, ADC Srinagar, RTO Kashmir, Joint Director Information Kashmir and other concerned officers.
