Fully supporting the people’s demand for removal of CRPF bunker from the main bazaar Tral, Hurriyat Conference (G) said that the presence of the forces camps in the civilian areas is troubling the common people. While demanding for the removal of all the camps from the civilian areas, Hurriyat said that their presence is an open violation of the international laws and due to which the common people of Kashmir are living under constant threat and fear.

According to a statement issued on Friday, while praising the attachment and commitment of the people of Tral towards the freedom movement of Kashmir, Hurriyat said that the government forces are particularly subjecting the people of this area to the vengeance and they are harassed in every possible way. The CRPF camp which is situated in the main bazaar has become a source of tension and the personnel who are present there are not only harassing the passer-byes but sometime they also beat up the local youth. The passing of the women by this camp have become a major issue and they too are facing difficulties on reaching there. Hurriyat Conference assured the pro-freedom people of Tral that they are not alone but the whole nation is on their back and at the time of need they can do anything for them.

While demanding the removal of the CRPF bunker, Hurriyat said that we are in touch with the respectable citizens of the area and are closely monitoring the whole situation. Geelani is continuously under the house detention and he was once again denied the permission to offer the Friday congregational prayers on 8 August while as the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat general secretary Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai was also put under house arrest today and he was also stopped to perform his religious duties.

While strongly condemning the government action, Hurriyat spokesperson Ayaz Akbar said that Omer Abdullah on the one hand is suggesting the Mujahedeen to shun the violence and struggle politically for their demands and on the other hand the pro-freedom leaders are not even allowed to offer the prayers. “It is an open contradiction which is depicting in their whole political career.”
