The joint resistance leadership on Thursday called for a “mass protest rally” against the “conspiracies being hatched by the Government of Indian to change the demography of Jammu and Kashmir”.

In a joint statement, the resistance leaders including octogenarian Hurriyat patriarch Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik said that the Government of India is hatching conspiracies against the history, culture of Jammu and Kashmir to change its Muslim character.

The leaders said that anti-Kashmir policies are being implemented to strengthen the “military occupation” of Jammu and Kashmir.

In the statement the leaders said that they have called for a rally on Oct 14 to protests against the anti Kashmir policies and to aware people about these dangerous designs.

Meanwhile, the leaders have called for valley wide protests on Friday against the braid chopping incidents.
