SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday said that he discussed the Kathua and Sopore incidents with Union Home Minister Amit Shah during their recent meeting in New Delhi.
After meeting the fire-affected family at Beehama in Central Kashmir, the Chief Minister, as per the news agency Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that his meeting with the Home Minister went well. “Multiple issues, including the Kathua and Sopore incidents, were discussed.
We have sought a transparent probe into both cases. We are hopeful that those involved in these incidents will be dealt with strictly,” he said.
“We discussed the restoration of J&K’s statehood and also the upcoming Budget Session of the J&K Assembly,” he added. (KNO)
