Authorities on Friday imposed restrictions in Nowhatta area of Srinagar city ahead of the second death anniversary of Hizbul Mujahideen ‘commander’ Burhan Wani.
Due to the restrictions, there were no Friday prayers offered in historic Jamia Masjid in Nowhatta.
In Srinagar, restrictions have been imposed in police station Nowhatta, as a precautionary measure to avoid any untoward incident. However, life was going on normally in the rest of the valley.
Burhan wani was killed in Bandoora Kokernag village of south Kashmir’s Islamabad district on July 8, 2016.
