Restrictions in Srinagar to foil ‘UN march’

The authorities have imposed restrictions in the civil lines area of Srinagar to foil the proposed march to United Nations Military Observers Group for India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) called by the joint resistance leadership.

Curfew like restrictions is in place in the downtown areas besides some parts of the civil lines, reports said.

Heavy contingents of police and CRPF personnel were deployed all across the city.

Police officials said that “to prevent any disturbance”, restrictions under Section 144 CrPC have been imposed in some areas.
