District Magistrate Srinagar Tuesday announced imposition of restriction under Section 144 Cr Pc in wake of recent protest calls by various separatist organisations.
“According to District Magistrate (DM), Srinagar, Baseer Ahmad Khan, in view of law and order situation and to avoid breach of peace and tranquility besides damage to life and property restrictions under Section 144 Cr. PC in entire district Srinagar have been imposed with immediate effect i.e. today from 0600 hours evening till further orders”, said an official spokesman in a statement issued here.
Accordingly, Senior Superintendent of Police, Srinagar has been directed to implement the order in letter and spirit, he added.
