SRINAGAR: Militants opened fire on a retired armyman, his wife, and their daughter in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Monday.
A senior police officer said that the three victims were rushed to a hospital for treatment.
“The retired armyman, identified as Manzoor Ahmad Wagay, a resident of Behibagh, Kulgam, sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen and is reported to be in critical condition. His wife and daughter suffered injuries to their legs.”
Following the attack, security forces cordoned off the area to track down the assailants.
