SRINAGAR: The body of a retired CRPF personnel was found inside a water tank in the Upper Surankote area of Poonch district on Saturday morning.
Officials identified the deceased as Mohd Shabir, 65, son of Mohd Hussain, a resident of Mohalla Khatna, Ward No. 3, Upper Surankote. He is survived by his son and three daughters.
The body was found inside the tank under mysterious circumstances. The incident has caused panic in the locality, they said.
Officials said cognisance has been taken and further investigation is underway. (JKNS)
