Integrated with the JK Revenue Portal, the new services will allow citizens to obtain records digitally, eliminating the need for in-person visits to the Central Record Rooms. According to officials, the initiative is expected to reduce wait times, enhance transparency, and cut down on paperwork.

The department said that applications can now be submitted online through the portal jkrevenue.nic.in, accessible via computers, smartphones, or tablets. This shift is part of a broader effort to modernise administrative processes and improve efficiency in the Revenue Department.

The online access includes digitised records maintained at the Central Record Rooms of both Jammu and Srinagar, marking a step towards wider e-governance in the Union Territory.

The launch was attended by Kanta Devi, Regional Director, Survey and Land Records Jammu, and Dr Tahir Firdous, Additional Commissioner with the Financial Commissioner Revenue, JK.
