JAMMU: The State Election Commission, Jammu Kashmir, has issued a revised schedule for updating the Panchayat Electoral Roll 2025.
According to the revised dates announced by the State Election Commissioner, B R Sharma, the punching of forms for filing claims and objections will be completed on 26 December 2024 (Thursday). The disposal of claims and objections by the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) is scheduled for January 6, while the final publication of the Panchayat Electoral Roll 2025 will take place on January 20.
The Commission said that it had received requests from various districts to extend the deadline for punching claims and objections due to the receipt of a large number of forms towards the end of the initial period, some of which remain pending for processing.
