The registration process will begin on April 18, 2026, and is being implemented under the overall supervision of Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar, with execution led by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Pankaj Kumar Sharma.

Officials said the introduction of RFID technology represents a significant upgrade in pilgrimage management, aimed at ensuring real-time monitoring of pilgrim movement along the Yatra route, improving coordination during emergencies, and maintaining a digital database of all registered devotees.

Authorities stated that the system will help regulate crowd flow, prevent congestion, and enable swift response in case of medical or weather-related incidents through precise location tracking of pilgrims.

To facilitate registration, dedicated counters have been set up at Gauri Shankar Temple, Sarkoot, Kishtwar, and the Gulabgarh Base Camp in Paddar. Pilgrims have been urged to complete the mandatory registration before commencing the journey.

The Deputy Commissioner said the administration is committed to ensuring a safe and well-managed pilgrimage and appealed for full cooperation from devotees to ensure smooth implementation of the new system.

The District Administration has advised all pilgrims to strictly adhere to the revised guidelines and remain updated through official advisories during the Yatra period.
