SRINAGAR: MLA Budgam, Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi on Friday visited Langate MLA Sheikh Khursheed at SMHS Hospital in Srinagar to enquire about the health of his father, Khazir Mohammad Sheikh, and expressed prayers for his speedy recovery.

During the visit, Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi extended support to the family and prayed for the recovery of Khazir Mohammad Sheikh.
He also made a humanitarian appeal seeking the release of Baramulla Member of Parliament Engineer Rashid, stating that he should be allowed to be with his family during the current health crisis.
Engineer Rashid is presently lodged in Tihar Jail in connection with a UAPA case related to terror funding allegations. He was arrested in 2019 and later contested and won the Lok Sabha elections while in custody.
