SRINAGAR: MooL Sustainability Research and Training Center, Ganderbal, has invited applications for the RISE UP: The Sustainable Kashmir Fellowships 2026–2027, a seven-month programme aimed at nurturing personal leadership, ecological entrepreneurship and purpose-driven careers among youth across Kashmir.

Supported by Royal Enfield Social Mission, the fellowship is designed for young people seeking to build meaningful careers while contributing to sustainable and community-centred development in the region.
According to a statement issued by the organisation, the fellowship will run from July 2026 to February 2027 and will combine residential training programmes, mentorship, field immersions, internships and practical learning experiences. Participants will receive guidance from experienced coaches, entrepreneurs and mentors to help them develop leadership skills, strengthen personal growth and pursue impactful ventures and initiatives.
The programme includes residential workshops in Kashmir, a field immersion and joint learning programme in Himachal Pradesh with The Himalayan Hub, a two-month internship with partner organisations in Kashmir, one-to-one coaching and mentorship, and participation in the Journeying Across The Himalayas (JATH) Festival in Delhi. Fellows will also receive a performance-based monthly stipend and certification upon completion of the programme.
The fellowship is open to young people aged 18 to 30 years from across Kashmir. Organisers said only ten fellows will be selected through a three-stage process comprising a written application, a phone interview and a final interview.
Mohammad Arfat Khan, a fellow from the 2025–26 cohort, described the programme as transformative, saying it helped him develop leadership skills, gain confidence and pursue his goals more effectively.
Applications for the fellowship are currently open and will close on June 15, 2026. Interested candidates can apply through the online application form made available by the organisers.
