Famous Bollywood actor of yesteryear’s Rishi Kapoor was trolled on social media for supporting National Conference President and Former Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah’s statement that ‘Jammu and Kashmir is ours and PoK is theirs’.
Farooq Abdullah had said, that the talk of an Independent Kashmir was wrong as it is surrounded by three nuclear powers — China, Pakistan and India. He also added that Pakistan administered Kashmir (PaK) belongs to Pakistan and the situation will not change irrespective of the number of wars India and Pakistan fight against each other. The former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister also said those who are talking about azaadi, are, in fact, wrong.
Taking this forward and voicing his support for Abdullah, Kapoor tweeted that he is in complete agreement with Abdullah. “J&K is ours, and PoK is theirs,” the actor wrote, adding that it is the only way “we can solve our problem”. He also wrote that he wants to see Pakistan before he dies and wants his children “to see their roots” too. “Farooq Abdhulla ji, Salaam! Totally agree with you, sir. J&K is ours, and PoK is theirs. This is the only way we can solve our problem. Accept it, I am 65 years old and I want to see Pakistan before I die. I want my children to see their roots. Bas karva Dijiye. Jai Mata Di !” he wrote.
Kapoor’s words, however, did not go down too well with social media users. While some assumed that Kapoor was drunk while tweeting, one user wrote, “Who is stopping u & ur children from visiting Pakistan! U have money & reasons do what u want to do but why to divide Indian state for ur sentiments?”
