SRINAGAR: A woman was killed while her husband was injured in a road accident that took place in Chakrabati area of Bhalla tehsil in Doda district on Friday, reports reaching from Doda said.
They were travelling in a van from Pranoo to Chakrabati when the accident took place, resulting in on spot death of the woman and critical injuries to her husband. Their van had skidded off the road and gone deep in the gorge.
The deceased was identified as Neelma Devi, 30, and her husband as Ankush Kumar, 32. Son of Ram Lal Bhagat, Kumar’s lived at the Sindra area of Bhalla. Kumar is being treated in the hospital for a severe head injury.
