One person died while four others were injured in two different road accidents in Islamabad and Baramulla.

In Islamabad, police said, a Tavera vehicle (JK03-2472) turned turtle at Batakote, Pahalgam, resulting in injuries to two passengers identified as Munazah resident of Wazir Bagh Srinagar and Azi Begum resident of Latroo Ashmuqam. Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. District police has registered a case in this regard.

In Baramulla, an Alto car (JK01V-2168) turned turtle  near Chennabal Mirgund, Pattan, resulting in injuries to four persons. The injured were shifted to JVC, Srinagar for treatment where one injured person identified as Yaseen Ahmad Rather son of Abdul Gani a resident of Bandi Payeen Chandoosa succumbed to his injuries. Baramulla police has registered a case in this regard.

In another statement, police said, three residential houses were damaged in three separate fire incidents in Kulgam, Kupwara and Islamabad.

In Kulgam, fire broke out in the residential house of Firdous Ahmad Sheikh son of Mohammad Yousuf resident of Manchow Behibagh, Yaripora, resulting in partial damage to the house. Fire was brought under control by fire tender.

In Kupwara, fire broke out in a residential house of Zeba Begum wife of Late Ghulam Ahmad Ganaie resident of Peer Mohallah Kralpora, resulting in complete damage to the house. Fire was brought under control by fire tender with the assistance of police and locals.

In Islamabad, fire broke out in the residential house of Ghulam Rasool Wagay son of Abdul Wahab a resident of Gavripora Khalhar, resulting in partial damage to the house. fire was brought under control by fire tenders with the assistance of police and locals.
