Snow clearing operations of the roads going on in Kashmir ahead of the Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage have neared completion. Scores of locals indulged in clearing the remains of snow from the roads in Pahalgam area as the date of the Yatra draws closer this month. The official sources said.

They said that the locals are also happy that the work has neared completion and the arrival of the pilgrims will bring in business and work opportunities for them.

The annual Amarnath Yatra takes place every year in the summers as pilgrims make their way to the cave of Amarnath which houses the Shivalinga formed of ice.
