Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan on Monday reiterated that a robust mechanism has been put in place to dispose of all people’s genuine grievances in a time-bound manner.

The Advisor stated this during his weekly public grievances redressal camp held here at the Convention Center, Canal Road where he met scores of deputations and individuals.

As many as, 30 deputations and 36 individuals comprising 145 persons hailing from different areas of Jammu and Kashmir apprised the Advisor of their grievances and sought his intervention in ensuring redressal of the same at the earliest.

The Advisor issued on-the-spot directions in some of the cases to the concerned departments to look into the grievances and resolve them in a time-bound manner.

A deputation from Chullana, Gandhi Nagar area demanded up-gradation of Government Middle School in their area while another deputation of Seasonal Labourers of Flood and Irrigation Division of Awantipora sought continuation of their services in the department.

Another deputation from Batergam Kupwara demanded the opening of J&K Bank branch and an ATM in their area while deputation from Balthri Doda demanded construction of a road in Sultanpur locality.

A deputation of Anganwadi Workers demanded the release of their honorarium pending with the Social Welfare Department from past six months while another deputation of SRO-43/376 of Police Department sought the issuance of their appointment orders in the department.

A deputation of Village Guard Association demanded an increase in the monthly honorarium of village Chowkidars while sports professionals from Youth Services and Sports demanded continuation of their services under PM’s Package.

Several other deputations and individuals also met the Advisor and registered their issues and demands pertaining to the departments of School Education, Social Welfare, Sports and Youth Services, Sports Council, Technical Education, Rural Development, PHE, PDD besides other development issues.

Advisor Khan assured the deputations and individuals that all of their genuine demands and grievances would be looked into and addressed on priority.
